CINEMA AT THE EDGE FILM FESTIVAL

We are excited to announce our 4th annual Cinema at the Edge (CATE) Film Festival! We are celebrating independent films of all genres that feature a distinct vision, a unique voice, or a challenge to what is expected and accepted in the medium. Featuring narratives, documentaries, and shorts, from talented filmmakers all over the world, Cinema at the Edge gives new and recognized films and filmmakers the chance to ignite audience buzz, gain acclaimed exposure, and provide global distribution opportunities.

The festival is located in the heart of Santa Monica’s Main Street minutes away from the beach – housed at the Edgemar Center for the Arts, a two theatre and art gallery complex designed by Frank Gehry. The festival’s location is prime real estate for Los Angeles’ top production companies, tech leaders, established artists, and extraordinary dining venues.

While we are thrilled to give independent filmmakers a vehicle of expression, CATE has an additional commitment to see the standout titles at the festival have an opportunity to screen for distributors. Therefore our program juries will again be comprised of the best and brightest professionals in the global independent film distribution community, giving films in all categories the opportunity to be considered for acquisition.

Expect more films, parties and events, more sponsors and perks for festival attendees.
